I am very happy to be appointed the Director of Music and Organist at St. Michael Church in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. In addition to providing music for all the liturgies and directing the St. Michael’s Gallery Choir, I will be playing the historic, but waning Kilgen pipe organ with the hope of improving the instrument in the near future. I believe that in addition to my work as a composer and music instructor, this organist and choirmaster post will wonderfully complement my life as a musician. After all, it was as a very young boy that I fell in love with music in an awe-inspiring church just like St. Michael’s!
I would like to thank the St. Michael’s former music director, Ms. Judith Trosen, and the church’s staff who welcomed me so kindly during the last couple of weeks. I look forward to much inspiring music to come!
Please visit the Parish website for more information about this historic place, and feel free to stop by for one of our liturgies. Also, stay tuned for some exciting music concerts to come!
